November 19 - Turkey Trot and Annual Meeting - Woodland Farm 194 Beaverbrook Rd. Lyme, CT Pleasure drive to the Nehantic State Forest at 10:00 am followed by a potluck luncheon in the barn and Annual Meeting at 1:00 pm. All club members are invited to drive or just meet! Thank you to Cynthia Bliven for hosting this event.
Oct. 1 - Big E - Draft Horse Show - See the 6-horse hitches! $50,000 purse! Email Carrie at [email protected] by Sept. 28 if you would like to carpool to save on parking.
Sept. 17th - Berlin Fair Carriage Driving Demonstrations - CVDC Sponsored short demos on everything "driving" from grooming and harnessing to showing differences between various breeds and vehicles to include cones and a "meet the horses" time.
JULY 16 - North Stonington Fair Carriage Show - CVDC organized this show but it was cancelled due to flooding rain, Fair closed the gates for the day. Many thanks to our secretaries: Judy Zimmer and Fan Frick who put in countless hours to ensure a well-organized show for all.
May 25 6pm - Panel Discussion: Safety with Horses on Multi-Use Trails - 21 Copse Rd., Madison Combined LCRVHC and CT Valley Driving Clubs will hose a program on safety with Horses on Shared Multi-Use Trails. Bring a picnic supper, clubs will provide bottled water and a dessert selection. ACO Liz Amendola will speak about loose dogs, reading dog and handler body language, etc. Kristin Elliott Leas will speak about minimizing spooking by desensitizing your horse to dogs, bikes, and other terrors. Both will talk about knowing your horse and setting an emergency plan when riding with a group. Discussion/Brainstorming format. Please RSVP to [email protected] so we have enough chairs.
MAY 6 (moved to published rain date - May 7)- Cones Day at Lord Creek Farm, Lyme, CT - Experience driving several non-competitive cones courses and games. March 19, Noon - 3pm Friends of Machimoodus Spring Fling - Come see this lovely venue for driving and check out the various club and vendor information that will be set-up for patrons to view. CVDC will have Club information on hand to spread the good word about carriage driving and Club events! Carrie Wind and Scarlet represented the CVDC at this event.

March 7 - Tour of The Breakers Carriage Museum in Newport, RI - Six CVDC members attended this tour which was sponsored by the Carriage Association of America.
January 24 - CVDC Holiday Dinner at Roberto's Log Cabin, 383 Rte. 87, Lebanon, CT. Buffet dinner, cocktails, cake and conversation. Planning discussion for 2023 event and activities.
